hello all i just ordered coilovers and i just want imput from the big boys.

i ordered FK coils sadly i dont have a model number. if it helps they are yellow. both springs and shocks are yellow and they are ajustable from 1.3-2.5 inches. im not sure but on the ad the were called KF AK. is AK the model?

i wanted to know if any of you guys can tell me the model by that discription and if any of you have any photos of this model oona B5 at MAX low seting on 16" rims. i kinda wana see how low they wil let me go. i have stock sports suspention and i know its about 1" lower then the normal suspention so im guessing that i will only be able to go about 1.5" lower then i am now. im hoping that will be low enough for me.

P.S i ordered them in a rush because they were the last set in stock and i got them for 650 shiped. and from what i have seen 650 for new coils for a B5 is cheap and FK is a reputable name

Hey Legion, I'm not exactly sure what the model number is but I have the exact same ones. You can most definitely get very very low to the ground with the threads all the way down, trust me!

Here's my car on stock 16's with a conservative drop:

I can still go about an inch lower than that.

    EDIT: Look like this, yeah?

Sorry, no gap pictures that I can find, but I still had ~2-3 fingers of gap in that first picture.

The ride is stiff, but not track-car stiff which is really nice. They absorb bumps well and don't leave your ass feeling like Jello after getting out.

so ride will be good stiff.lol

and 2-3 fingers. when you had 2-3 finger gap you still had 1" more to go right? also your car is quatro im guessing by the look of the coils?

Stock sport is a 2-3 finger gap. That looks more like 1. That height is about perfect for both the best handling and good ride quality. Much lower and the suspension geometry gets strange.
