    WTF!? s4 ate it tonight

so something rediculous happened to the s4 tonight. driving with my apr program on, just cruising no boost at all and I just see the tach drop to zero. big oil light came on for a second, battery light came and stayed on and my CEL that was on went off. Car wouldnt start again for like 15 minutes, finally, my CEL came back on and the car started for like 5 seconds and then died again. I tried changing back to stock and it was showing no reaction at all. I unplugged the battery for 10 and connected it again and it started and was able to make it the .5 miles home before it died again in my parking lot. During the short ride home, it would only hit 5 lbs of boost, and the gas gauge was fluctuating. I know it has gas because I just filled up today. Do you all think my ECU is shot??? i'm freaking out. I just want to sell my car :(

well I have the same issues when one of my intercooler pipes comes off. You could have a massive boost leak.

but why would it do it when i was just cruising at 30 mph. and it hit 5lbs on the way home when i was testing it. i noticed in the past few weeks when i put it to stock from my CC that it hit 5 too. but with apr it hit 15-16

Good point. If you think it is your ECU. Swap out ecu's with someone local.

From past experiences when having intercooler/massive leak issues the car will die... all lights come on, obviously no boost. If I turn the car back on right after, without fixing the leak, it will crank, idle for 10 seconds then die.

had a similar problem with my apr code, turned out the chip module went bad, and apr replaced it under warranty.just cost me the price of shipping.
i was lucky someone loaned me their spare ecu for a few days.

I can't believe you would say something like that. If you really want to get into it I can tell the story here and post the Pm's from 2 users that said sorry but i got screwed because they knew the ECU was bad before I even go it. So this is the second time around of me fixing it

that was the first thing i did. It eally freaked me out at first because I had just changed my oil last week. but im always parked in my spot at work or my spot at home. If it was leaking, I'm sure i would have noticed some of 6 1/2 quarts lol. Butttt I did check to make sure and it was fine
