I don't know what has happened but yesterday I took my wheels off and installed my stock wheels. I am supposed to be trading my car in tomorrow morning. The car was riding very smooth. Today, actually after driving for awhile, I notice vibration....then noise and vibration from the rear. I pull over and have my girlfriend watch me drive past. The passenger rear tire is flopping horribly when rolling as if it is uneven.
I stopped and jacked the car up to find that the hub that the wheels rests against has been worn uneven. Now no matter how the wheell is installed, it sits uneven against the hub. What has happened and is there anyway to fix this quickly??
It looks like a metal hubcentric ring or something that is worn down only on one side. That is the only way I know to explain it.
Please help if you can provide ANY input at all.
I took the summer wheels off and put the stocks right on. The part that is worn down on the rear center hub looks like a metal hubcentric ring but it seems like it is supposed to be there. I don't even know what to look for...
