If you own an older car, it will have issues. They ALL do. I had a 95 Audi 90Q a couple years back. It ended up having the normal maintenance issues that the 2.8's normally have. 02 sensors, and leaky seals. The car was very reliable for me and I absolutely loved the car, minus it being pretty slow. lol! If it came with a 2.2 5 Cyl. turbo I would of NEVER sold it! ;)

I have a 93 90Q that I have done all kinds of things too. They are very reliable, and are fun to drive, but slow. Most of the cars have issues with the hydraulic lifters ticking, and various leaks. I would suggest taking a close look at the catalytic converters. They're usually bad and are expensive to fix. I have had mine for 80k miles and only had to change the clutch and did the timing belts and knock sensors.
If your looking for parts I would suggest Blauparts.com. I used them for my 4kq and this car, they are good people, and frequent customers get discounts. Their prices are usually a few dollars more, but you always get the right parts, and good service.

3 basic things: cats, windows and door locks. Typical VAG problems. Otherwise, great cars with solid engines.
