My car got keyed, but it was very very light and im happy for that. I only really notice that it's scratched if i bend down and look at it straight on. What can I do about it to make it go away?

You'll probably need to use a rotary and possibly some wool pads. Im guessing you havent used a rotary before, so Id talk to some good detailers out there. I know a guy in Chino Hills, CA. Shoot me a PM if you want his contact info.

if you can feel it with a fingernail its probably through the clear, if not might be able to get it out with a elbow grease.

So if it's pass the clear the only real way to get it removed is for a repaint? :[

If you want to do it properly, yes repaint it...you can drastically reduce the appearence of it if you polish it out, maybe even top it with a couple coats of glaze to help hide it but it will always be there...I don't condone using glazes unless its for "show car" purposes..

Wet sanding or Compounding with wool pads may get it out if it's light. Otherwise, a touch up/repaint are the only other options.

You could get it polished, and make it less noticeable if you dont want to repaint.
