    Ok Guys i need to wash my engine on my 03 A6 is there a safe way to wash it???? Or just spray some water and your done .....

    that what I do
    just try and avoid the the coil packs and wire/fuse box
    and start the engine and leave it running for at least 15 min after yuor done

    defintiely stay away from coil packs and other electronics. I would say use water sparingly and do not use Simple Green -- it corrodes aluminuim. Oh and do not spray cold water on a hot engine.

    I just use a wet towel and go at it, I really don't feel comfortable opening a hose up on my engine.

    i sprayed mine down quick at the carwash with that degreaser and water... worked really good (kept the car on) ~ didn't have any problems
