A8 brakes

Is it possible to retro-fit brakes off an A8 onto an A6? I was reading a bit about them on Audiworld and some guy said he knew someone who had done it but It required a bit of modification. I think he took brakes off an 01 or a 99 I cant remember nor can I find the thread, but he swapped em' onto an 2000 A6..

what do you lads think? ever heard of it?..

iirc just takes a bracket to be able to use the older A8 332mm rotors (ours are 288) ~ you have a 2.8 right? (the 2.7 uses the bigger brakes already)

can't remember about calipers i think it just uses the same ones

thanks slee I think Im gonna do that conversion sometime next month, about the same time I start my E30 project.
