    Uneven Break pad Wear

Ok so I replaced all 4 corners, pads and rotors in august of 2007. slotted rotors and a high quality pad. All from ECS tuning. Ive noticed I have uneven pad wear, specifically on the drivers side front and less noticeable on the passenger front pads. The out pad (haven't pulled a wheel to check the inners yet) is more worn towards the outside of the rotor. What could cause this and how do I go about fixing it? Do I need to replace the pads again?

    Re: Uneven Break pad Wear

It's normal to get some uneven wear on brake pads. Sometimes I'll see pads that are almost gone on one side and 20% on the other.

really? i was pretty certain that it isn't normal and is usually a caliper issue.

You could have an issue, but if everything is lubed and moving, it's ok. I've been a auto tech for almost 15 yrs.

Great Post and Idea... It is normal when I changed my rear pads it was uneven as hell .. I greased and re-torqued everything but it is bound to happen again... Doesnt happen on stoptech and those bigger brakes because of the evenly distributed brakes pistons.. Single pistons will definatley do that....
