Quick HDR photoshoot - Stasis and Lamin-X.. no 56k - UPDATED with day pics

Not the final product.. but wanted to mess around with HDR, so just a couple quick pics for now

the Stasis SS coilovers will be dropped by another 0.5" in the front this week and the Lamin-X fog covers SPP sent didn't fit my car. The smoked 4x8 they sent was *NOT* enough for all four sidemarkers - order the larger sheet or order two 4x8's, regardless of what they tell you (if you want to smoke all four out.) As a result, only my front reflectors/sidemarkers are Lamin-X'ed

Will update with new photos when the front is dropped and the weather is nicer (it was raining when these photos were taken)

... oh, and I sold my Votex chin spoilers, and yes, my windows are tinted (lighting and exposure makes it look otherwise)

Next Up: eBay spoiler (anyone got a DG they want to get rid of?), and either an ABT kit / Deval RS4 bumper / or an Sline conversion... depending on which one I can get a good deal for If you guys have any of these things, HOOK IT UP

Anyway, I'm on the fence about debadging... really tempted to do it.

Things are def shaping up! But I miss the allroad look man! Be sure to put some miles on your car before you drop the front (heavier front end may settle it alittle more - ya wouldn't want to rub a week later.)

Haha, I used my brother's Canon EOS Rebel XTi DSLR to take the three source photos (Use AEB -2,0,+2) and then used Photomatix Pro to merge them into an HDR image. You can tonemap using Photomatix to make it look nice, as well.

This was actually my first attempt at HDR... turned out alright. It's pretty easy to do, just make sure you get a decent entry level DSLR (Nikon D40, amazing deal avail at Costco.com or Canon Rebels) and a tripod. There are a number of great HDR tutorials online... google "HDR guide"

I was on the fence for a while about debadge, too. Especially since I got the S-Line bumper/RS4 grill and no longer had 'quattro' in there. I like everyone knowing I actually bought an Audi for the right reasons... After I got the grill, polished the exhaust, and detailed the car, I decided "what the hell". I can't stop looking at it now. 5% of me regrets it, because I had the red T and quattro, but the other 95% says "Wow, so clean!" I strongly suggest it. Your car and HDR looks absolutely awesome!!!

4ringrook - let's see those HRE's in action

louis - i settled for somewhat of a compromise between my initial setup and the one that you recommended. i decided to go with 25.5" all around - the front sits at 26" right now but i'm getting it adjusted to 25.5" at the shop this week.

viper - the stasis rides GREAT, comfort-wise it's comparable to the sport OEM suspension but is much less "bouncier" / recovers much better on bumpy roads (if that makes any sense)

it'sthat2.0T - i sold it because i'm going for a different look - either ABT, S-Line, or Deval RS4

hey, they're sitting pretty close to the fender as it is... if anything, i would need to add like 5 or 8 mm spacers... not big enough of a difference for me to go through the hassle of rubbing and running on spacers

... and i will if there weather EVER clears up here

sorry to bump a somewhat "dead" post, but didn't think this deserved a whole new topic... just got my front lowered 0.5" so now it's an even 25.5" all around from ground to fender.



the rear still looks a *tad* lower than the front but i'm very satisfied with the stance now

No rubbing - 25.5F/25.625R should give you a really nice stance. I'm running on low profile 235/35/19 tires
