OK, so. i blew one of my rear deck speakers, and i am not sure what to replace it with. I dont want to get something that will sound worse than the factory bose speakers. Does anyone have any advice as to what size and what brand of speaker would be good? thanks for the help.

It's not blown most likely..the dust cap is loose and rattling around...Remove rear deck, epoxy dust cap back on.

I have the same problem... If they are blown its better to not even bother with the deck speakers and put in a sub. The deck speakers aren't able to push that much air therefore somewhat of a waste of money when you could have a 10" subwoofer in the trunk for about the same price.

And the Bose amp uses 2 ohm speakers I believe if you have to go aftermarket. I'm willing to bet it's the dust cap coming loose...

you can use 4 ohm speakers just fine.. what you can't do is use 1 ohm speakers.

    Re: Rear Deck Speaker problem.

u just cant put in any speaker if u want the same bass.. the rear deck speakers r 6 1/2 subs so if u replace them with regular speakers its gunna sound like shit...trust me thats wat i did but i sold them nd got 6 1/2 subs for them....ur best bet is to a component speaker kit which gives the 2 subs 2 door speakers nd 1 or 2 tweeters to start off then get subs for ur trunk
