well i went to a dyno day.. just to see were my car was at because it was only 50$ for 3 pulls

and i had numbers that kinda surprised me for a MUSTANG dyno

I got apr too. Took advantage of the sale. Nice numbers but I've seen better with apr software. I think it was bhvdr who got 210 whp but I'm not sure if it was a mustang dyno or not.

Yes I believe it was bhvdr, and it was a mustang because we got our dynos at the same shop.

oh and my car seemed to make more power once the engine got warmer.. should of done 3 pulls but my friend wanted to pick up his car so.. we had to split


and my wheels. i need four brand new tires because one popped (hate quattro sometimes) and i dont have the money for it yet

wait. if you get a flat then why do you need 4 new ones because of quattro? why cant u just replace it and forget it?

well if you put new tread on it makes it offset .. and screws up the drivetrain.. i dont know the exact details but i did my research and that is the only option if you have a tire that is not reparable

the audi drivetrain has to have 4 of the same size tires at all times oemr it can get mangled. Porsche awe systems are designed for different sizes.

you can just replace one tire if that is what you need! Just get the same size. The mm of difference won't make any difference. Or do all your tires wear exactly evenly? No they don't. SO don't worry about it and just buy one.

Exactly. If individual speed differential made that much negative effect, then the whole idea of AWD being able to transfer more power to the wheel the spins vs. the wheel that doesn't gets called in to question, not to mention the newer systems which actually help slow down the inside wheels and allow the outside to accelerate faster to help with cornering.

You actually do want to be careful with ALL AWD systems within reason or you can put undue stress that can eventually blow them. That means installing tires with similar OD (overall diameter) and RPM (revolutions per mile). You can even have small variences in size from front to back so long as they don't exceed appox 5% in OD or RPM. This also applies to AWD Porsches (I know, I have one). You can have different width tires but the OD and RPM should be the same or within the 5% range. All this said, putting one new tire and keeping four used ones won't change the OD or RPM anywhere near 5% so you can go ahead and do that safely.
