Car is only throwing the following code, but appears to be in LIMP mode. No boost is building and car runs at the speed of smell... any ideas?

What exactly do you mean when you say "checked the pinout to the ecu?"

check the wiring from the ecu harness to the other end at the sensor, see if there is a short normal resistance (next to none) or an open.

Re: Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Open or Short to Plus = LIMP???

Could this be caused by the car jumping time (one tooth maybe?)?

Yes you can get a cps code from timing being off. Also maybe you cam chains are worn out. It's kinda rare for a cps to go out since it is a magnet.

Well, CPS will be here tomorrow... if that doesn't fix it, we will investigate the wiring more carefully... then check the cam chain and timing belt.

What's the best way to check the wiring?

Also quickly pull the boot back off the connector and make sure there are no broken wires. Easy check.

Good idea... Does a CPS normally put the car in LIMP mode?
