How do I do that? ... Oh and if you guys know of any more tricks I can put into my car with this vag-com please feel free to share them!

The SAFE function involves the door locks. Specifically, is a UK/Euro only feature. There is no way to deactivate the immobilizer using VAG-COM.

    Re: Vag-Com Questions

Awh... there goes that idea.. Is there a way I can program an imobilizer, or do I have to pay the stealership $140 to program one? I just got a new key (with a brandnew imobilizer) and want to program it so I can drive using that key but dont want to pay the dealer that ridiculous amount of money... HELP

Adapting new keys should not cost a lot. Depending on if a new immo ID is required or not, You can try some independant Audi shops, but very few have the required equipment and login authroization to access the Geko server that provides the immobilizer ID.
If the new key is a B6 PN, a new immo ID is not needed, only a VAG-COM is needed to adapt the key to the existing immo ID.

Diagnosticator.. I hardly understood that, are you saying if I have a B6 key I can program that glass transponder in it with vag-com?

Let me tell you my situation, I tried to take apart my oldest B6 key that was coming apart to put the transponder in a used B7 key.. Broke the bloody transponder b/c the thread said it was pressured inside the housing....Mine was glued in... So I went to eBay and bought a new never programed, uncut B7 key. I plan to have Audi cut if for $20.00 put I sure as hell dont want to pay $140 to have them program the transponder.. Is there another way?

    THANKS!

I need to research your issue more, but I believe that a "virgin" transponder for a B6 can be adapted to the immobilizer using VAG-COM. To do so, the instrument cluster adaptation channels accessed with VAG-COM, then with an empty transponder channel selected, the remote button/s is pressed and that associates that key transponder to the car immobilizer stored at the selected adaptation channel. I don't think your B6 immo will accept a B7 key transponder adaptation, even if a virgin. I will try and find more info to clarify the situation better.
