    The Spacers Thread

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Alright time for a reference/ show-off thread. All you peeps who have spacers on, go ahead and post them.

    It would be nice if you could indicate the name/model of your wheels, offset, size of spacers, and most importantly pictures. Also post if you have had problems in the past without having spacers etc.

    i hope i don't see any more threads about spacers. :)

    here's a couple of threads for you people who are lazy to search

    LUG BOLTS

    OEM:
    Type = Ball/Radius/Round seat
    Length = 28mm
    Diameter = 14mm
    Thread Pinch = 1.5mm

    Add the mm amount of spacer you will be installing to the length of the OEM lug bolts.

    ie: 10mm spacer = 38mm lug bolts (28 + 10)
    again...
    ie: 15mm spacer = 43mm lug bolts (28 + 15)

    If no exact size lug bolts are available, it would be safer to go the next size higher.

    Here are some pics of the spacers on the car with the 18" S-Line wheels. The first pic is without spacers (lowered on Eibach Sportline springs). The second pic is with the spacers. The visual difference is extremely noticable in person and at different angles. When walking up to the car from the rear, the stance looks wider and more aggressive.

    Not sure if anyone can give me all the info I need but I have a set of Moven S5R's 19x8.5 Front and 19x9.5 Rear that I want to put on my car I just bought some Falken 452's 235/35/19 Front and 245/35/19 Rear.....not sure if I will need spacers or not but I was thinking of picking up some ECS Tuning ones just in case the 10mm front and 12.5mm rear with both coming with their respective ball seat bolts.....I am wondering if these sizes are fine to where my tire will not be poking out and be nice and flush with the fenders.....as well as if those bolts will do the job and fit perfectly for my wheels....thanks.......

    since is such a big wheel, it sounds like you won't need spacers but just do a test fit. those tires are a bit stretched too.. what's the offset of the rims?

    you will not need spacers. on all corners i have bbs rg-r 19x8.5 +32 and they are right on the money, no need spacers. 235/35 are ideal for 8.5 wide rim, which i also have in the Michelin PS2s. here's a test fit i did on the front wheel when i first got them:

    Here's a question way out of left field. At what point will your alignment be affected by adding spacers. I know it is not changing the geometry by much but if you add 15mm...20mm....25? Does it make a diff at all?

    Since the hubs are prone to gathering rust, I coated all the surfaces that could eventually become rusty with some white lithium grease. I used a wheel brush to take off the rust that had gathered on the hubs before reassembly.

    Remember 150mm o.d.. The part number is under note #24 on H&R's site.

    be reminded that these were just some really quick pics right after it came off the jacks and before it was driven. I'll get some better today at the Irvine Meet.

    Re: The Spacers Thread

    What about the RS4 reps? If I have 18x8.5 ET58 VMR reps, what size spacer will push me closer to the fender. Anyone running spacers with those wheels?

    Um, look above at my last post... There's a couple different combos for you to compare, as well as stock.

    Here are some pics of the spacers on the car with the 18" S-Line wheels. The first pic is without spacers (lowered on Eibach Sportline springs). The second pic is with the spacers. The visual difference is extremely noticable in person and at different angles. When walking up to the car from the rear, the stance looks wider and more aggressive.

    i think thats it right there. not very good pictures but still pictures nonetheless

    bad phone pic, great angle! It doesn't look this flush but on this day and lighting, it looked mean.
