    MPH in each gear

    I was driving my lil bro's 04 A4 1.8t, supersport, 6 speed, bone stock. Curious to see what it had i pushed it a bit. I realized i was doing 80 in third and if i remember correctly i cant do that in the A6 2.7t. Is there something im missing? My instrument cluster is slowly dying on me and maybe that has something to do with it. So if you could give me an estimate on the following correlations id appreciate it.

    1st= ? mph
    2nd= ? mph
    3rd= ? mph
    4th= ? mph
    5th= ? mph
    6th= ? mph

    Re: MPH in each gear

    Yeah I just took my car out just to see after reading this post. It's an 02 A6 2.7t 6 speed. In third it easily pushed up to 90 and seemed like it had a little bit more to go.

    Re: MPH in each gear

    thanks for the replies. Im gonna ride along someone to see if even the mph are accurate. I know for sure the RPMs are off. I guess the next step is a dealer estimate for replacement.
