    2.8 Misfire Problems

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am having misfire problems with my 30 valve 2.8. The misfire is happening in cylinders # 1 and #6. The coilpacks have been changed along with the spark plugs. Could my injectors be toast? They are the original injectors with 148,000 miles. This is the code that I get from the vag-com:
    16690/P0306/000774 - Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected

    Any Ideas would help.

The CEL would shut off if it's a misfire and you haven't had it happen in a while. But try cleaning the MAF with Carb Cleaner. I have the same car and had that problem but for me it was the spark plugs.
