    OK GIAC (thanks marc) borla exhaust and 710n's with VC gasket leak not sure if anything else would effect the runs

    I talked with the guys there and they said the plugs were igniting the fuel to early for the pistons and suggested a methanol system...I like the idea of the system but is that what is really going on? Thanks guys

    That dyno is a little on the happy side. A stock S4 should be in the 190awhp to 200awhp. Still, 278awhp is nothing to be dissapointed about it.
    2001 S4 6sp...has a few goodies...and JHM shifted

    yea I'm not disappointed at all I was happy didn't think I would get that much she did good in both stock and pump. but the 2nd chart has a lot of dips and thats what I'm worried about. I pulled a CEL at autozone and lost the paper but it had something to do with my fuel/air gasket or something along those lines. really not sure I'll have to check again later today.

    i was about to say. good post though i mean i dont want to turn it into a "happy dyno" thread, but for comparision check my thread out, i did 286.7whp/336wtq on a mustang, stage 3- (K04s, 5 bar FPR, stock ICs)

    I see how your read out is way stronger over all. thats what I want, a strong throw all the way to redline. I wanted to dyno mostly to see what was going on inside and how i can fix it. I actually ran into a guy from the shop at work tonight and he said with the audi's and vw's the computer acts different (honda boys). didnt explain why but his girl was hot lol

    S-power- lol yea but atleast its a speed boat lol not to worried about it right now gonna do some weight reduction little by little.

    Ok first off happy mothers day to any moms....if any....

    but weird thing happened guys I went to go check my CEL and when I turned on my car there was none...so I went to work and on the way home it popped up again...just turned it on and no CEL I also noticed a ringing or chingaling noise comming form the engine bay but I cant see any loose bolts and even checked the ones under. Kinda sounds like when a washer is loose between a nut. I'm so kong-fuzed

    With the car running, press slightly on all the plastics on the car. If it goes away or gets less noticable, then you know where its coming from. Then take off that plastic and look for anything thats loose and tighten it up. A really cool trick for finding engine noises is the old school screwdriver stethoscope technique. Stick the end of a long screwdriver(i find flathead works best) to any part of the engine, then stick your ear to the handle. It only transfers the higher pitched noises, so its really useful for things like this. Slowly work your way around the area thats making the noise until you find the culprit.

    This is assuming that the noise is from a loose bolt/nut. Make sure you check your injectors for loud ticking as well(screwdriver technique is good for this as well).

    Don't mean to be off-topic about with the dyno read, but could you clarify the "loud ticking" coming from the injectors. What do you mean by loud ticking? Is it noticeable without the flathead sethoscope technique? Reason I'm asking is I hear a ticking noise while my engine runs and figured it was normal for a 89K car.

    OK so I used the biggest screw driver I could find and a metal rod (not hallow) and after a little while my ear just started feeling funny but I still couldn't centralize a local for the sound. even thought there is the sound I don't feel any difference while driving. which makes me lean towards it just being some loose washer or nut, something generally small. But I posted something about high revs a little bit ago and the sound actually started right after? any suggestions?

    Looking again at your numbers the HP is the one that is more linear than the rest sort of in the middle right? How did you get your numbers so solid? internals at all or is that all the ko4's? and I'm still unclear about the FATS numbers
