Need quick advise: Gunmetal or Onyx Black

Ok people, I need some advise. I have a current order for the RS4 reps, in Onxy Black, through VM. I went with the Onyx because by 06 B7, Brilliant Red, has the polished window trim along with the front grill trim. I figured the black chrome wheels would compliment the polished trim. But I have been seeing a few postings about the Onyx finish chipping?? Is this a real problem or some sort of manufacture issue?? Bottom line, that bothers me. So my other option is to go with the Gunmetal finish. Any quick input would be great, since my wheels will be arriving at VM next week.

Go with gunmetal. I had problems with my finish and ended up powdercoating all four a gloss black. However, the main problem I had with the onyx finish was that it looked great when the wheels are very clean, but as soon as you drive a little and they get a little brake dust on them they don't look so hot.

Dirt, brake dust, and other stains will be more noticeable on chrome, reflective, or polished finishes... But as long as you don't let the stuff "bake" on, you'll be fine.. i.e. washing your car once a week.

All of our wheels have a 1-year warranty. If we had "manufacturing problems" then it would be impossible to stay in business selling this finish. In the unlikely event that you run into a problem, contact us and we will do our best to help you out. Rest assured that we will not leave you high and dry .

So how is the over all finish holding up? Do you see a lot of fine to moderate scratches? If so...can these scratches be buffed out easy??

I know you guys sell a quality product, Im just at a 50% stand off right now and need to make a choice in about 24 hrs!! Its hard..the GM would look hot..along with the OB, god damn it, I need some pics!!
