    Crash the car tonight... AGAIN

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi,

today is my second F*cking crash with my a4 ... still, it is the second crash, but not my fault AGAIN. I was rear ended by a drunk guy (a young lawyer) on a lexus is250 (new version). My car's rear bumper is all damaged, my trunk also and so is my right magnaflow muffler. And I also believe my rear right suspension it's messed up and so is that same rear right panel and rim.

Now I'm looking for a cf rear trunk, coilovers, S4 rear (does any one know where I can get the single exhaust rear bumper?), if I don't get the cf trunk I will have the cf lip.

Any opinions on places to buy this parts for the best price?

    thanks in advance...

    pics tomorrow.

DTH for S4 rear or the dealer!
dont do CF trunk, just regular trunk.
buy some a nice set of coilovers, i dont know where you should go because there are so many places you can buy them.

I didnt say it was a bad idea, you just might now likt it.
right now, there is a CF CSL style trunk, search for it. the spoiler stick out too much.
if it fits your taste, then go ahead.

Re: Crash the car tonight... AGAIN

    CF trunk looks hideous.

You can get the S4 stuff from genuinevwaudiparts.com.
Look on hotexhaust.com for the muffler.
And I forget where I saw some coilovers for $750, but I saw them last night while I was pissing around. They're at work on my favorites.

Sorry about the car. That sucks.

    thanks all for the replys...

pics uploaded tomorrow for sure. Today I got an estimate of about ~7k for the repair of my car. I believe I will get about 4.5k-5.5k from the insurance company so I will have more than enough to play.

I will keep u guys posted.

Re: Crash the car tonight... AGAIN

    UPDATE

Today, after goin' to the insurance company, they told me that I should take it again to the body shop to see if I have mecanical problems on the car. They want to see it again. I think they didn't like the $7,950 body shop's estimate .

So tomorrow she's goin once again to the body shop so the insurance inspector can see it in person to know for sure what's damaged in the car. Lets see what happens.

If I get a good amount, I'm goin' with full Oetti body kit, with carbon fiber hood, rear carbon fiber diffuser and stock black rims. Still thinking about the gt2871r or k04 .

No more talk. Time for pics... (phone pics)

    Where's my muffler at?

Oh, here he is... (it's really far back, but I couldn't capture it on this pic)

Re: Crash the car tonight... AGAIN

    ok....

    Small update...

Today I got my car back from the body shop. The guy from the insurance company was a little inresponsable, my car was scheduled for last wednesday to be check for any damage under the car. But no, he went today!! So, my car after being a week at the body shop doin' nothing today is the day that I finally got it back. Tomorrow I will be able to pick up my check from the insurance company. And tomorrow it's the day that I know how much I will get from this 8k estimate. Fingers crossed that it's more than 5.5k so I'm to finally have the A4 how I had always wanted. Let's see what happens.

Right now I'm thinking of the oetti w/ GTRS kit. (obviously I have to put some money)

I also have two more offers for rims.... both are for the RS6 wheels. One set is 19" but replica. And the other is a set of RS6 19" also but OEM... both with tires, both for $900

I will let you know how much I got, and how I'm goin' to play the cards this time.

Re: Crash the car tonight... AGAIN

I thought most insurance places write out a check to the body shop, but wont actually give you the cash?

That's how it happened when I got my fender fixed. They specifically woouldn't give me a check -- they told me to give the body shop address and number and they'd send them the money. Kind of BS.

Hope you get a lot out of it -- I know I'd for sure upgrade a lot of parts.

Yep - me too. Check was written to me and the body shop. Not sure whether I had the right to demand the check be written just to me.
