Evo's run stupid amounts of boost, 40lbs is not uncommon for the 500whp+ cars. Absolutely absurd!!!

It would still spool on a 1.8, come on guys ... If a GT35R gets 20psi by 4500-4600, the 40R would get 20psi by 5-5200 or so. If you were reving to 8500 or 9k, you will still have enough power band!!!!

Rev limiters are in programming and the stock ECU, a standalone has only restrictions which are set by the owner. A stock head will get valve float in the upper 7k range. A built head (Ti springs and retainers at least) will easily rev to 8500 or so, being efficient at that range requires cams as well as possibly oversized valves and port/polish work. A balanced rotating assembly is also very important with revs that high

Like run a K04 or something and use that to spool the bigger one and use the exhaust of that one to power your car?? Seems possible in thoery but i bet its highly not possible haha

it's called a sequential turbo system. The Supras came with them and i believe the 13B rx7's came with that setup as well.

my co-workers cummins twin-turbo diesel has that setup, uses a t4 sized turbo to feed a gt55 sized turbo and makes upwards of 50psi and 1000lbs of torque

My friend's Duramax laid down 963 Ft Lbs. with all this from Banks...

Six gun
Intercooler
Downpipe
Monster exhaust
Intake
Big head actuator

Also, the owner of a local performance and R&Ding shop has a TT Cummins. He's running 76 Lbs of boost right now and he's around 12-1300 Ft Lbs.
