Assuming you have a decked out Eliminator kit with all the fixings and you control your boost what is the fuel consumption like while granny shifting to stay in vac?

I get 420 miles to 15 gallons of gas if I am doing normal highway driving (80mph) sometimes in boost, sometimes not.

That's on-par with what I get on the highway and I have a full 28RS.

Zing. Like I needed more motivation...

Care to compare to a K04 set-up just out of curiosity?

the question asked what was the best mileage you get. On a average tank of gas with my wife driving she gets 270-300 miles

    Re: DD Eliminator Fuel Consumption

Driving on the highway if you drive relatively good (not to many high speed runs) then I get 24 or 25mpg and that is traveling at 80-85mph. I put the cruise on at 80 once and did that most of the trip except for a few blasts which all exceeded 100mph by a long shot and I got 400 miles on a tank.

Driving around town if you drive easy you are really not going to boost much at all so you will get good mileage there as well. I have never really recorded my mileage in town, but it can't be to good because I am constantly pounding it like everywhere I go, but im sure it is still 15mpg if not more even with all the hard driving.

Another reason why I was suggesting a GTRS. Its sized more appropriately for our engine. The K03/K04s are just too small to be efficient.

You are joking right? You must have the only A4 hybrid on the planet . You are saying you get 530/15=35mpg which im gonna say is impossible especially when big turbo A4s time and time again have proven to get better mileage than a K03. In the optimum conditions tested by Audi which would most likely be a 55mph test since that is the peak of the bell curve for perfect fuel consumption in a car, they got 30mpg which im also assuming was using a whole tank of fuel aka 17gallons, so I just cant fathom how you continuely get an extra 5mpg.

    Re: DD Eliminator Fuel Consumption

I'm not buying it. The fwd only has a 18.5 gallon tank compared to the 17.4 of the quattro, so you would have to be getting 29mpg to reach 500, that would be using 17.5 gallons leaving 1 gallon in your tank since you obviously can't suck out all the fuel from the tank, but that is besides the point because he has a quattro

W/revo stg2 (big injector prog) the most was about 450 miles all highway miles and 1 gallon remaining. Around town about 275 miles.

Now with GTRS city/town only driving - 250-260 miles. My town has alot of corners, stop signs/lights nad elevation changes and my wife drives it alot. I don't know what she does but the A4 gets about as bad mileage as my BMW and the family minvan around town.

For all highway the GTRS pulled out about 440-450 miles with 1 gallon remaining. And about 340-350 with 75% hwy and 25% city/town driving. BTW the car is a TIP.

Try it this way as well. Fill up with gas, reset your mileage counter to zero, drive until the gas light turns on and then fill up again. This is what I do. I never pay attention to what the numbers say in the driver info display or whatever its called.

that is the only true way to do it, especially if you aren't stock since the miles per gallon and all that stuff isnt correct anymore since the scaleing is off even with a big injector file and it's way off with gtrs.
