I've used their bushings in a previous car and the difference was night and day.

    Re: Energy bushings

BMW people love the powerflex and they are listed on their webpage. Looks like a lot of work to do, and the ball joints will still go :(

    Re: Energy bushings

Do they squeak? I've had them in a few Corvettes but that was 15 years ago and things have to have gotten better since then. Some were always quiet, some were always squeaky, and some were squeaky some days and quiet others. I'd love to tighten up the chassis but don't want it to sound like I'm smuggling crickets.

    Ian-
Can you post what bushings your work carries or PM me a catalog or pricing? I'll take a look at the UK sites but the exchange rate is pathetic and shipping is expensive.

    Re: Energy bushings

Powerflex shows the following products for our cars. They don't have the accompanying drawing though so it is hard to tell what the "front tie bar rear bush"ings are. I don't need any of the anti roll bar bushings either. I also can't tell if the rear bushings are for the rear suspension or the rear arms on the front suspension.

Well, Summer time tends to bring out the squeaking, Its only the upper bushes that squeak, I normally just jack the car up and spray the shit out of the upper bushes with WD40, this eliminates all squeking noise for a good few months.
Worth getting as they do tighten the car up no end.

    Re: Energy bushings

Found the US site with all the drawings and parts for our cars.

Pricing is expensive but I'm hoping that it is for a set rather than individually like the uk site. For example, a set of four front upper mount bushings for 108 isn't that bad but 108 each is ridiculous.

    1 - Front Lower Shock Mount PFF3-201 x2 $55.00
    2 - Front Tie Bar Rear Bushing PFF3-202 x2 $65.00
    3 - Front Upper Arm Inner Mounts PFF3-203 x4 $108.00
    4 - Front Anti-roll Bar Bushing 25mm PFF3-204-25 x2 $47.00
    4 - Front Anti-roll Bar Bushing 27mm PFF3-204-27 x2 $47.00
    4 - Front Anti-roll Bar Bushing 29mm PFF3-204-29 x2 $47.00
    5 - Rear Lower Arm Front Bushing(pressed steel arm PFR3-205 x2 $47.00
    6 - Rear Lower Arm Rear Bushing PFR3-206 x2 $58.00
    8 - Rear Upper Arm Outer Bushing PFR3-208 x2 $47.00
    9 - Rear Upper Arm Inner Bushing PFR3-209 x4 $108.00
    10 - Rear Anti-roll Bar Bush 12mm PFR3-210-12 x2 $47.00
    10 - Rear Anti-roll Bar Bush 15mm PFR3-210-15 x2 $47.00
    10 - Rear Anti-roll Bar Bushing 16mm PFR3-210-16 x2 $47.00

That doesn't sound too bad. I did the same with the Vettes and that was before the fancy white lithium grease was available in a spray.

    Re: Energy or Powerflex bushings

The bmw crowd suggest using the copper anti seize while installing them, then they dont squeak.

    Re: Energy or Powerflex bushings

I run PowerFlex bushings on my wifes '02 330i for the front control arms. Much better steering feel than stock. I spray them twice a year with lithium grease. Two years on the car, and no squeaks so far. I recommend them...

    Re: Energy or Powerflex bushings

The front lower shock mount bushing is listed, but the front lower chassis bushing not available? I would think that is the most highly stressed bushing (black bushing in the picture).
