    Just did Striaght pipes..

I got a question over the weekend me and my buddy did my piggie pipes. I brought a set of piggie straight pipes from a fellow AZ. The pipes had the O2/check engine light eliminators from vast performance. I had to extend my O2 wires. I did them 1 by 1 and i solder them and shrink tube them. The almost look like factory. Last night i drove my car and i get a check engine light on.. I checked it with my VAG and it tells me that sensor 1 no activity. I wanted to know if anyone could help me out and figure this out.. Also i wanted to know if i get my ECU reflashed by GIAC would that help me out...

    Thanks

First obvious question but did you plug the sensor back in? I know I have forgotten stupid stuff like that before.

Second, make sure that it was a good solder job or else you will have a bad connection.

Same thing happened to me. I put the cel eliminators too. A reflash is the only thing that's gonna work for me.

I Know That They Are Pluged In And The Job Is Good.. Or Atleast I Think Its Good.. The Weird Thing Is That After I Clear It (cel) I Drive The Care Home And It Doesn't Go On But The Next Day When I Start It And Let It Warm Up It Comes Back On.. I Think I Will Have To Flash It...

wire in a one way resistor and you'll be set, theres a write up on www.audidiy.com

the problem extending the wires is that they are very thin and fragile, along with being under the car unless you have a lift, its kinda awkward.

i have pictures of the entire process.. What i did to make my life easier was take out the axles so i could fit me had and get all screws loose. the only one that gave a me a problem in the top one on the driver side. As for the O2 sensor the one on pass. side dont go crazy and try it from the top just loosen the pipe and then when you have room next to the axles you could just take it out.. other than that i took my sweet time and like 5-6 hours..
