    FEELER/FS: 2002 B5 Audi S4 Santorin w/ 31k miles *Super Low Miles and Perfect*

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I bought this b5 s4 last October with 27k miles on it with the intention of it being my daily driver… I was in love with the car, and searched for the perfect b5 for literally a year before I made my purchase. After my purchase, I put a lot of time, effort, and money into making it as close to flawless as possible. Since then, my work commute situation has changed, and I cannot justify holding on to this gem in order to drive it to and from a train station every day (that’s what a 2k beater is for). Seeing as how it has so few miles, I would rather it ends up in the garage of someone who can afford to keep it as their weekend fun car.

    Description:
    31,xxx miles
    Santorin Blue w/ silver interior
6 speed (previous owner told me the clutch was replaced around October 2006)
    Quattro AWD (obviously)
OEM Ecodes (less than 2 months old)
    H&R Adjustable Coilovers
    AWE/Borla Cat-back
    Stainless Steel Brake Lines
    RS4 Grille
    2-piece 18” BBS RXII’s
235/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport Tires (Also have Dunlop Wintersport M3’s in the same size available)
Brand new windshield due to a crack that formed before I owned the car
Interior smells new and looks even better. Almost no wear and tear on the driver’s bolsters and the rest of the seats look as if they’ve barely ever been used. Steering wheel is in perfect condition with no wear, and everything is impeccably clean (I am super OCD with my cars).
Exterior is a 9/10 for a 6 year old car.

    Problems:
Your standard minor pixilation issue and rearview mirror problem (pixilation problem has actually gotten better since I have owned the car), 3 or 4 minor dings, curbage on the wheels (but the wheels cost $670 a piece from tire rack, so I figured I would rather have them eventually refinished for $150 a piece than replace them), standard stone chips in the bumper due to how low the car is (would be willing to get it repainted for free for the new owner if they are willing to pay my asking price), small scratch on the trunk on driver’s side of the trunk that extends onto the tail light (I am assuming someone brushed up against it ever so slightly when the previous owner had the car).

Car looks incredible, sounds incredible, and drives perfectly. Oil was changed around 30k miles.

    Price: $23.5k obo
I am looking to get what I paid for the car plus the money I put into it. I do not NEED to get rid of the car, so if I don’t get what I want for the car, I will just hold on to it. However, as I said before, I would rather it be owned by someone who can afford to baby it more than I will be able to in the future. After driving a friend’s stage 3, I would love to make the upgrade, but I cannot justify owning a stage 3 s4 and an SVT F-150 Lightning. Getting rid of the Lightning is not an option, so the s4 will be the one to go! I will not accept any insulting lowball offers, and do not care what kbb is. This is (to the best of my knowledge), the lowest mileage 2002 b5 on the market right now that can be had for a reasonable price (I have seen some selling stg. 3’s with fewer miles on other forums and asking absurdly high prices in the 30’s and 40’s). This car had low miles like mine, but was chipped, and did not come with $3600 worth of wheels and tires, and did not have brand new ecodes.
    http://audizine.com/forum/showthread...light=santorin
Right now I am only posting the car here on AZ to give you guys a head start, but will be posting elsewhere in a week or 2.

    Only trades I would consider:
    1. Decently modded 2003/2004 cobra convertible
    2. A gem of a stg. 3 01.5 or 02 full stg. 3 6speed b5 s4 in similar condition to mine that is not silver and does not have a black interior, and has lower than 70k miles.

Car is paid for, title in hand. Located in NJ. PM me with any questions. Thanks for taking a look!

    - Artie

looks good, but extremely pricey (only catback, coilovers and ecodes really...) and would honestly rather the stock wheels, lol

haha, that's fine. it is pricey because it is essentially stock, but with a few expensive tasteful mods... if you are interested though, PM me an offer

Knocking off $6,000 isn't lowballing? That offer would have been better as a PM.

Beautiful car. Anyone who buys it will have the wonderful feeling of going back to 7 years ago when it was brand new! Hah. Good luck with the sale.

Re: FEELER/FS: 2002 B5 Audi S4 Santorin w/ 31k miles *Super Low Miles and Perfect*

thanks for all the great compliments! id consider 19 if whoever bought it came to my house with stock wheels, stock headlights, and a stock suspension and swapped them for mine! haha.

as for 17, i think we all know that might be a little low.

i'm currently looking at a bunch of 03/04 cobras with 30k miles and thinking that is low for an 03/04... then i remember i have an 02 with 31k miles! what is even more awesome is that most people dd'ed these cars (as i had planned to do). the previous owner of my car didn't dd it, which is why i got so lucky. also, even with all of the s4's for sale with beautiful exteriors, none can possibly have interiors as pristine as mine. it literally just has not been driven.

dont make me keep racking up the miles on this thing!

not looking to part out the car unless i find a buyer that wants the car stock. if i can do that, i would be willing to part out the car as long as the buyers of the new parts would be willing to send me their old parts. i dont have the stock parts, the first owner must have sold them all before i bought it

first off i cant see you jacking the price up much, or at all for ecodes considering you dont even have the stockers to replace it, let alone anything stock to replace anything. Like I said I'd consider 19ish, so I mean if you can get stock replacements for the wheels that might make things a bit better, so LMK

i dont have to justify my price to you any more than i already have. not trying to start anything, but like i said, i dont need to sell the car. if i can get what i want, i'll sell, if not, i'll keep it and enjoy it. it's the last model year, with unbelievably low miles. i was looking at an 01.5 with 50k miles when i bought my car for 19k... my car is worth much much more than that.

wheels and tires cost 3600, ecodes cost 750, suspension cost 1350, cat back cost 775, brake lines cost 155, brand new windshield cost 260... and everything besides the windshield was installed by awe. by my count that is about 7k in extras that you would be getting on the LOWEST mile 6speed b5 on this site that can be had on this site and/or anywhere right now. while i realize you never get ALL of your money back in mods, tasteful, safe, expensive mod’s are worth something in my book.

there is a 12k mile black ’00 with nogaro sport interior stage 3 on another site with an asking price of 42k, and a santorin with sport package and 25,xxx miles without bbs-es, a set of the best tires you can buy, and without ecodes (which are backordered everywhere might i ad) was sold for 23.9 on this site a few weeks back. besides those two cars, I cannot find any lower mile cars than mine.

if i decide to dtop 4.5 k off of my asking price, i will let you know. if you can come up with a set of stock wheels and tires, we might be able to work something out. please PM me though with any further questions and leave the negotiating out of the thread. thanks

Honestly the car is amazing, and has mods that in a way can add value to the car. The mods that add value are brakes, body work, interior, and rims. The performance mods if anything should lower the price of a car, seeing that they ware the car down faster. However, the car isn't even worth 20k. You can find a car with those miles at a dealer for that price, and they'll even offer you a warranty. So whats the extra 5k that you added on the car for? Are you offering a warranty? My advice sell the car quick, preferably before the B8 comes out.

very interesting because i found 3 cars for sale in the entire USA on autotrader with less than 45k miles.

1 claims to be a "2001 4.2 s4 avant quattro with 19k miles for 19k" that has been for sale on and off ever since i bought my car back in october and is a sedan and not an avant (and has the superawsome 4.2 retrofit option... along with sick blackout headlights)

    the other has 44k miles

and the last has 32.9k miles and is a 2001, not a 2002.

    http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...sfyc=&systime=

there is one nogaro 02 for sale on here with 35k miles for 20k but it allegedly needs 4k in repairs.

i think my price is justified as do many other ppl on here.

like i said, i dont need to sell the car. i am accepting reasonable offers. if i dont get my asking price, so be it. but i am not dropping 5k off of the price of the car right off the bat. if you have an offer, make it.

Well theres plenty more than 3. 40,000 miles and 30,000 miles, the difference is only $1200. I can go and post a whole bunch of S4's, but whats the point? "i am not dropping 5k off of the price of the car right off the bat." Well of course not. However all I'm trying to say is that the car is dropping in value soon so hurry up the sales. :-p

once again, for everyone online searching for b5 s4's with 31k miles, mine seems to be the only option. i searched ALL of ebay, ALL of cars.com, ALL of autotrader, this site, AW, and AF... and i have the only one other than the ones i've mentioned already in this thread.

in all honesty, please PM me all of the other s4's with less than 35k miles... until i have physical proof that my car is overpriced, i will keep the price i have listed above.

as far as selling before the b8's come out goes; i am not worried about that unless the b8's come with a biturbo v6. i doubt a s/c'ed v6 would have much effect on the desirability of the b5 (this coming from someone who has both a biturbo and a supercharged vehicle in his garage).

if you were informed in any way shape or form, you would know that the b8 s4's engine has yet to be confirmed, but as of the past few months (the link you posted was from november 07) audi has been leaning towards the supercharged v6 for reliability reasons. once again, as an owner of both s/c'ed and biturbo vehicles, i am fully aware of the pros and cons of both types of forced indutction. blowers require engine hp to spin whereas turbos to not (hence turbos are much more efficient and easier on the engine). however, superchargers are much much much more reliable in and of themselves. superchargers are never the weak point of an s/c'ed engine, whereas we all know how volitile turbos can be.

please stop posting in my for sale thread unless you have an offer man... take it to pm's

I bought my car 2 months ago with 34,917 miles.
    Its Silver.
    2000.
    6 sp.
100% stock... for what some people are trying to offer you dude..

This car is an 02, less miles and has 7g's in mods..

    Keep this price.
The right person is going to come threw and buy this because it has potential to be a classic for those that collect..

    Just my .02 cents..

thanks man, i appreciate it. i know that what ppl are offering me is way way less than the car is worth. like i said, when i was looking to buy back in october, most cars with double the miles in really good conidition were going for a solid 18, or 18.5. the car i chose this one over had 55k miles and the owner would not go lower than 19.5

sure plenty of ppl are selling their s4's... and there are plenty deals to be had. the fact remains that lower mile b5's are much harder to come by than ever before. i havent put the car up on autotrader/craigs/ebay or any other forums yet, but i will be next week some time
