    Zymol wax question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Has anyone or does anyone know about this Zymol cleaner wax? What's the difference between the cleaner wax and the wax on their website that comes in a jar opposed to the bottle? I want to know because I can get the cleaner wax for less than half the price of the jar on Zymol's website.

And lastly, is this a wax or a polish? Here's the stuff I am talking about.

    Re: Zymol wax question

Sounds like a polish/paint cleaner/glaze/wax in ONE. Swirls are gone because of the kaolin clays not because it was polished out. I don't think this can handle Audi tough coat, some aggressive polish don't even stand a chance with Audi clearcoat let alone something mild like this or used with hand. The cleaner part of this sounds like more for removing wax or clays from previous apps.

Its a tonned down version made to sell in big box stores. If your looking for the proper stuff use clear auto bathe and then the HD cleanse...

    Re: Zymol wax question

yep - it's the "all purpose Turtle Wax" of Zymol's. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Turtle Wax actually manufactures this product for Zymol (or used to). It used to say it on the back label.

I'm a long time user of Zymol HD Cleanse (paint cleaner) and Zymol Carbon (wax), and love the depth of shine it provides. The water beading is also awesome. Might not last as long as some other products, but produces beautiful results.

And FWIW, in comparison to Zymol, I was totally disappointed with the depth, shine, and beading of Klasse AIO when I first tried it.

on my daily driver in Toronto in the summer, I'd guess around 2-3mo's on the horizontal surfaces (hood, roof, trunk). The vertical surfaces (doors etc) seem outlast that.

    Re: Zymol wax question

used to use it, worked okay, nothing too great about it. stopped using it because turtle wax bought them out, so essentially it's repackaged turtle wax at a higher price

I really like how easy to sue ti is, but it's durability and looks are alright for a store-bought brand. NXT>this

Not my understanding. I understood that Zymol subcontracted the bottling and distribution of this low-end product to Turtle Wax for the North American market.

It's still a Zymol product formulation, not "repackaged Turtle Wax".
