I have the opportunity to purchase an RS6 SE exhaust, my question is, this is going on a '01 4.2, what do i need to do to be able to install this? I know about cutting the rear bumper to be able to fix the tips, anything else? Is this a direct bolt on otherwis?

I know, i know, use the search function, which i did, but couldn't find anything, and AW is blocked from work, so i am SOL, so please, help me!!!

    Thanks in advance.
    meh..

i think i read on AW that some of the hangers don't line up...
"Then I removed the old exhaust. Slipped new one into place over the cats. Once installed on jack stands only, had to remove it again because the tips stuck out about 2 inches and hangers were two inches off, so I removed the exhaust and had to cut 1.5 inches off. Inserted again and it all lined up perfectly - tips stick out about quarter to a half of an inch. "

on the other hand another post on AW
"Borla East did the installation in about 1-1/2 hrs. Everything lined up perfectly and all that was needed were two adapter sleeves. The car now sounds like it has power to spare with a deep throaty growl. "

"The fit was perfect. The pipes are made to fit the larger 4.2 body, which is what the RS6 is built on. Even all the pipe hangers were in the exact places as my original system. The only difference is the diameters of the pipes, for which I had to make small adapters."

I hope all that helps lol
