    225/55/17 tires on a 2.7T A6?

I'm selling a set of rims/tires in classified section. Buyer wants to put them on his A6, but sidewall is 5% taller v stock. I told him anything more than 3% is not advised. He is still interested. I want to move these, but not at the expense of his safety or some else on the road.

Can any tire experts chime in?

not safety issue, but speedo will be off a tad (and 225/55 is too narrow -- 235/45)

you can do a 225/45/17, that came stock on my sport bbs wheels on my a6, but i wouldnt recommend a 55 series tire. you are completely changing the rolling diameter.
