rs6 reps 2000 2.7t 18inch what offset do i need???

Whats the correct offset (45??) with an 18inch tire x 8.5 and what tire size with no rubbing?????? I want tallest sidewall possible for pothole protection....... Thanks guys noob to wheel sizes and such......

For an A6 2.7T a 235/40/18 tire would be the best for no rubbing issues.
