Overheated and glazed your brakes... Just take it easy for a while and it will clear up...

    Re: slammed on brakes, now...

Mine do similar noises, even though the pads are less than 10k old.
Dunno if it's glaze issue with mine, or the other option is that the noise is coming from the vibration of the pad in the carrier. This is the reason why they put paint, antiseize, anti squeel lube, etc between the backing of the pads and the calipers.

As hard as I am on my brakes, it doesn't last real long. It does help a lot, for the first 8K.

i cooked mine on a mountain run and they squeek ever since.

mine just cooked all the lubricant off of them. thats what dampens the vibrations that cause noise.

    Re: slammed on brakes, now...

yeah i just really couldnt stand the sound haha. i ended up taking the caliper off and checking out the brakes, everything seemed arlright. i put them back together and no squeak anymore too. i was skeptical because it was squeaking around turns, when i wasnt even on the brakes. but the sounds gone, so no more worries. thanks for the help, and "lol's"
