It can definitely do it, but I don't know that you'd want to add the extra stress. I say buy a beater truck or something to do it.

For sure, I'm 21 and up in Newark so 1.5hrs and I'm there. Dunno if I'll start my weekly descent's until July though...school and work suck. I'll hit you up when I do though....

yah but trucks have transmissions and drive trains made for pulling things. but jetskis are so light it wouldnt matter imo

You will have ABSOLUTELY no problem at all pulling that. Or stopping it, which should be your real concern. Again, there will be no probs whatsoever. You won't even know they are back there.

what about launching the jet skies(unless they have a shallow ramp)? just dont burn up your clutch but the skies are light enough it will not put much strain on your car when driving on roads.

i've wondered about towing with an s4, and never worried about the drivetrain/brakes... more the lack of a trailer hitch.

what does the manual say the recommended towing weight is? I'd be worried about braking ability more than anything.

Jetskis aren't as light as you think. A gtx weighs 800 lbs dry. Add in your gas and other components and you are up to around 950 or so. A double trailor from triton is 390 lbs. So now you are up to around 2300 lbs. It isnt always the power the vehicle makes but the framework and structured design of the tow vehicle. That being said, I towed my 2100 seadoo sportster with my 1.8t Passat.

i want to go out and get a new yamaha SHO but need the s to suck it up and trailer it. Where can i get a decent hitch that i wont have 2 cut my bumper with? anyone have any experience?

I don't think there will be any problems with towing that. I towed with my -85 GTI for a hole summer without problems.
