    Oem Clutches- Sprung Hub?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I had my clutch replaced in my car yesterday

When I went to pick up the car, my mechanic told me that it had a sprung hub.

He thought maybe the previous owner had some kind of aftermarket clutch in there previously?

OEM clutches have a sprung hub, and a sprung flywheel (DM)

This is why the oem drivetrain feels "mushy"

    Interesting...

    I had an OFE Series
Stage 3 Street clutch put in that had an unsprung hub.

My clutch has a much light pedal feel than previously, and the catch point is way lower.

Is it possible to run an Unsprung Hub clutch with a DM flywheel?

    Re: Oem Clutches- Sprung Hub?

Found my own answer on SB website

The clutch kits do not come with flywheels. But, it is necessary to know which flywheel you have or are going to be using because O.E. flywheels require a solid disc design and the LW flywheels require a sprung disc design.
Just putting this here for anyone else
