Milwaukee: Alpine Import Specialists or European Performance Group?

hey guys! man, love this weather - finally get to open the windows. then again, "finally" means "after three weeks" (just bought my car). anywho, i got slightly pwned by a civic si with a coffee can exhaust on an on-ramp, and the first thing i said was "time to get chipped". i've searched the forums for Alpine and found nothing, and EPG has been on here a few times. i'm looking at the APR stage I + stock mode. anyone have a preference between the shops, good/bad stories, etc.? i gots to save some money first, but then it's chippin time.

I've been to Alpine once, seem to be decent guys but I didn't get chipped yet so I don't know how they are on that. If you log on to venommotorsports.com, there is a guy by the name Frank, he works for APR and I only heard good things about him. Again, no personal experience.

Alpine went out of business about 2 months ago.

The only APR dealer in the area that I know of is EPG

cheet,.. I used to spend alot of time with the alpine guys.. sad to hear that they are out of business.

although, I dont know if that would be my first stop for a performance upgrade. I say Kelly-Moss in madison. it is worth the trip.

wow, crud. sucks, too, cause i was totally gonna offer to re-do alpine's site for cheap. EPG's site, though, just needs to work. i can pretty much only get their homepage cause all the links point to /#. thanks for the info.

I can vouch for Frank at the European Performance Group. He did my chip, Boost gauge, and diverter valves (yeah easy i know), and did a great job. couldnt be happier with the results there. He's a hella sweet guy too. I went to his old 'shop' which was his garage, and he did a decent amount of work there, definitely knows what he is doing.

o and im happy with him now because at the meet we had in MKE last week, he remembered an email i sent him inthe fall about my DV springs i left at his house, he remembered to bring them to the meet. i completely forgot about them, but he remembered them.
