Fixing scratches in plastics in radio display and gauges

I have a bunch of small scrathes in the plastic display on the radio and the plastic around the gauge cluster. There must have been some kind of abrasive in the towels I was using to wipe them down. Now I'm just left with a scratched display and cluster.

What can I use to get rid of the scratches? I was considering using some rubbing compound, but wanted some tother thoughts before I take the cahnce and ruin it completely.

I haven't done it yet but I'm planning to use Meguiar's PlastX with a polishing MF.

Rubbing compound is far to abrasive. I use PlastX and a mf towel and it removes some scratches.
