i could have picked up an Atlas Gray B7 Avant S-line 2.0T 6spd with gunmetal 19" RS4s reps, coilovers, exhaust, and giac for $26k!!.. but unfortunately i really dont like "silver" for me..

i was pretty disappointed that is was a 3.0L Auto, i have been looking for a Red USP Avant 1.8T 6spd daily since the day i missed one for sale locally..

Tiptronic i have it and is Sux so bad it's ridiculous! if ur not gonna keep it stock then it sux, and when it's stock it's so freakin slow u have to stick ur foot out the door and push on an on ramp, and when u chip it it starts going psycho!

^^are u telling me ur the only guy on this forum with a tip that has no problems in terms of how it shifts in APR 1+? the torque converter doesn't act funny in 2nd and 3rd?? and on the highway ur car doesn't fish for gears??? c'mon man!

It does gear hunt but that's only above 80 when im getting on it. Only had a few slips with the TQ and I don't drive in tip mode very often.

I dont know what is wrong with your car man, but for most people it only shifts to 4th and 5th at around 80mph, and at that speed you can just downshift if you wanna accelerate anyway so its no biggie. Dont hate on auto trannys, especially Audi's. I have yet to drive a car that drives better than my Audi, including bimmer's, mb's. you name it. So I think Audi did an incredible job with how their auto's perform (not counting speed ) So go drink you hateorade elsewhere!! =P

that is a very rare package. 3.0 USP and avant. 28K is very high for that car. 20K is reasonable these days with the B8 coming out.

don't bash the TIP tranny, it's not as fun as manual but it shifts god damn whenever you tell it to shift. how many auto tranny out there can do that in this price range?

i saw that one.. looks nice and good price, even has heated seats.. miles are a little higher than i would like, but not a deal breaker.. but its really far away (2500 miles)..

i would fly for a red one, or have it shipped, but since i'm in no rush -- for now i am holding out for red..

or if a different color comes up that is in great condition, good price, and close by - i might go for it.. you know, something i can go look at -- fall in love -- then i'll jump on it..

if you've been considering an avant especially an USP -- i would really think twice about this one.. from you profile it looks like it is in your area and even your color of choice..

when i came across the Red USP Avant 1.8T 6spd in my area a few months ago, it wasnt the right time for me either..
by the time i realized how rare they are and how impossible it will be to find another one (especially locally = 9miles away, with low miles = 38k, and at a good price = $20k) it was gone.. i have been kicking myself ever since.. along with checking 5 websites daily trying to find another one..

black, silver, and dolphin gray are certainly a bit more common (red, white, and the blues seem to be even more rare) .. i am just trying to save you the heartache i've been going thru..

worse yet i know what's going to happen.. i am going to find the last one and the seller is going to want $28k or something ridiculous -- which i am not going to pay no matter how much i want one.. then i'll end up passing one up again..

if that happens, i may just pick up a new Jetta SportWagen TDi and enjoy my 55mpg, 12sq ft sunroof and touchscreen nav that plays DVDs (while in park, which i am sure can be hacked)!!..

I hear what you're saying but my gf and I just got a new house out of state and I'm still living in our old place working saving money.

My main priority is moving and getting down there with her.

The car would be nice but I just don't have the money and she would probably shit a brick if I told her I bought a different car. If anything she needs something new. Maybe we should trade her Jetta in and get her the avant since she has the kids in her car 95% of the time.

In reality I would give her my car and trade hers in for a Fit or something that gets better mileage cause I drive a lot for work and she stays local.
