how many miles you guys have on youe audi's?

yes yes im a new member and i have no idea about audi's. i did research and I am hearing mixed feelings on reliability of euros. I love the way the 05 a6 looks. I found some preowned ones for some good prices and i want to know what kind of problems you guys have came across from owning one.


if i start me a new job in the next few weeks and i want a audi. I would love to have a s4 ideally but the cost of gas is keeping me from looking at one with that v8 it has. So i turned to a low mile 05 a6.

how many miles do you guys have on your cars and what kind of maintence issues have you guys came across? cost? money pit? new/old audi?

please start posting... id like to know before i start looking at a 2jzgte lexus gs300 again lol

well If you get one, a warranty is nice, because unless you know your stuff, repair costs are pricey for not only parts but labor.

yea that is my only concern. I plan on making this a DD and if i go with a swaped 2jzgte GS i know guys that can fix those but audi i dont know anyone and plus i rather drop dead then pay stealership prices ...you know

If your worried about reliablitly I would not get the 2.7t. I hear the other 3 engines (2.8, 4.2, or 3.0) are tanks and are very reliable. Also if you take care of it and don't beat it every time you drive it will obviously last longer. Its a great car :)

I've got an 03 3.0L with just over 53K on the clock. No problems yet, and I've owned it since last July.

Oh for the record i have about 65xxx on my 2.7t and have had to spend a good amount in repairs, but its because the warenty is over. Its small stuff like cv boots, but still a PITA!

90k in 2.5 years.No major problems.Just now replacing front brakes.

well on the other hand mines tipping 110,XXX miles and I have easily put 10g's in it not including mod's in the past 20k miles..I'm glad I have other cars to drive lol.

i have a 2.8 with 90K and have not had any major problems just normal repairs

Dont know much about the 05 and up...

I have a 2004 2.7T with 77k mles on it. Am happy with it but bought it knowing that it was pricey to maintain... Did 2 cv boots, Auxiliary water pump, coil packs, window regulators, control arms and tie rod ends. Rest is maintenance including the expensive 75k service with WP/TB, Brakes, oil changes and filters..... AND MODS... oh MODS... very addicitve

56K on the B5 S4 (8K since stage 3)...still very tempermental, CEL's and what not

62K on the C5 S6, rock solid, but have only had it for 5 months, is a very thirsty car, and in Cali, $86 / tank to fill her.

hair over 58K on our '01, finally had our first major out of warrenty expense, $3400.00 TB service, rear main seal replacement, and various misc parts. Otherwise, it's been a realtively maintainance free car.

Very pricy to maintain. So the best thing you can do is get a warranty even if it's 3 grand because depending on how many miles you buy the car with your going to pay up the ass to maintain it. I will say this your buying the car for the experience because the lexus doesn't compare but either does the maintenance on the audi LOL. Good Luck. 65k and about 10 grand invested on maintenance for my 02 A6 2.7T

I feel it is all on how you drive and maintain, if you neglect them they will let you down...

2.8 01 with 89,000 on the clock. Just dropped $1600 into maintenance and she is golden. Not as much power as the 2.7TT, but a lot less headache and easier on the wallet. The key is to be proactive and not let small stuff mushroom into a big problem. I do a lot of stuff myself, but do have a good mechanic I use if I am too busy or do not have the right tools. Find yourself a mechanic that is into audis and you will have a lot better time. I never go to the dealer unless I am looking to get raped!

00 A6 2.7T MT6 87000 no problems so far but I have only had it since 83000 I have changed coolant, plugs (ngk iridium), Air filter K&N drop in, no leaks oil or fluid leaks that I can see. My 90 coupe quattro went 285000 without a problem but is wasnt turbo!!!
