    Question suspension??

    this may come off as dum but here it goes....my b6 s4 has ruffly 80 thousand miles on it and the suspension seems to be giving out...so my question is...is there any way to test or check to see if i need to get new coilovers??

    Well you can certainly check to see if your current dampers are blown.

    Have you bounced on the car up/down? Does the car keep bouncing a few times or does the bounce stop after the car comes up?

    With 80k miles, it's more than likely your shocks are worn and should be replaced. Shocks are pretty much worn after around 50-60k miles.

    You'll probably need to start inspecting some of your rubber components as well, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, etc.

    thank you...for you help i am goin to look into the "ruber" parts.....my cause does bounce a couple of time sometimes when i hit bumps and sometimes it doesnt...
