future track car or parts car?

hey guys , i found a 93 UrS4 afew miles away, but dont know much about this model so i figured i'd ask those much more knowledgeable than I.

Does this animal have potential or would i be wasting my time? Heres the link

I re-read the ad and noticed that he stated there is water damage.

You should get a good look at that before you purchase.... that would be the deal breaker and the difference between a driver and a parts car if you ask me.

The price is tantalizing.

PS: there are a bunch of guys that run their UrS on the track (check Audi world) but to be honest this is a 3800 lb car to start off with.

If you're gonna buy it i'd say restore and drive it or part it.

yeah went to take a look and its a parts car for me... if someone had time to cut out the rear floorboard and patch the rust and carpet back there the engines all good looking but i didnt start it.

i would still take that in a second. if you know the right people, that is a easy fix. and there are a couple ECUs floating around audi market place and o34 classifieds i think. that think stock is going to be super fun, let alone if you build it for a track car. if its a track car, you don't even have to worry about the carpeting. even as a day to day car, you will have more fun in it than a 1.8t. i had a a4 that had a lot done to it. and my stock s6 is faster and more fun. i would say go for it, fix it. and at the very least you can sell it and make a few bucks. or i will try and get it lol. jk i wish i was that close to it
