** Just Bought a GT28 eliminator, NOW WHAT?**

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey Guys, hoping I can tapp into some of that infinate wisdom on all things audi. Just bought a gt2871 eliminator (thanks Tom!), and now I need to start buying up supporting mods I have a plan for the big stuff, fmic, exhaust, testpipe, tuning, etc.... but I have a couple questions the search button couldn't answer:

    1. Air Intake: Will there be room to keep my stock Air box? or do i need to re-route it using an aftermarket system?

    2. Injectors: i've seen people run 430cc up to 630cc, which ones best?

    3. MAF: do i need to replace the stock maf with a VR6 maf?

    4. Fuel pressure regulator? again, necassary upgrade?

Thanks for your input, i look forward to reading your replies!

You need to find someone who will tune it first. Or simply buy the ecu combo from 034. You dont just throw parts at it. 034 also has the turbo inlet to keep your airbox.
    Unitronic tuned. love it.

Need any services done in NYC area please PM me. I will diagnose and fix your car. Also do clutch replacements, Timing-belt services, Turbo upgrade/installation, Fluid changes, boost leaks and pretty much anything.

At minimum you need in this order
440cc injectors most prefer 430 genesis you can get them from five-o-motorsports.com for the best price about 200 the are known as blue giants and are Mustang Cobra injectors rated at 39lbs but flow about 42lbs which equals 430cc.

after injectors you will need a REVO tune to run the injectors, stage 3 cost 200 on top of the 500 initial stage 1 flash tune so $700 total if you are bone stock.

spark plugs go one heat range colder in copper plugs ngk bpr7k i think some one please correct that if im wrong.

gaskets, turbo to cat, mani to turbo, mani to head, oil return line,
ok you can now run your engine with the gt71r elim.

    Boost Guauge

Boost controller is optional, up to you i like it cause it is mechanical control of the engine but then a safety factor is eliminated

FMIC pick one and go with it most love ER ,i have a EuroCode one it works.

Test Pipe should be done but i have had a GTRS for over a Year and no issues yet, im not wiling to have a test pipe and may do a cat relocation this summer, not for sure yet,
BPV also needed, i ran a 710n for 8 months it worked but i wanted more, turbo xs, forge, and many other companies

    Exhaust- lots of options

for piece of mind you will want to buy an exhaust manifold that fits stock location
034, and ATP offer proven peices. do not buy the ebay Stainless steel manifold it will not fit. there are a few cast ones on Ebay, I have seen them as low as $100, but buyer beware of anything on ebay.

    intake pipe

    a few options
apr is reinforced and fitment sucks and you have to use the small factory inlet.
Neuspeed is sicone and fits the best, but needs hose clamps to keep it from collapsing.
stock will break dont even try it.
and then there are a few from PODI and other custom makers.

then you may want to pick up an SPS3 to adjust your boost and timing ranges.

    then clutch
    then brakes
    then Sway Bar
    then suspension
    then wheels and tires
    then Water/Meth Injection
    then bigger turbo
and so on it never ends

Is there custom tuning available? or do you have to buy from a company like revo or unitronic etc...

For $780 from 034motorsport you will get the software and injectors needed to run that turbo. or you can also go with REVO or someone else. You need to do some research. I dont have a b6 or a big turbo. Good luck with that turbo the dude told me he ran over 30psi of boost when he blew his car up. lol
    Unitronic tuned. love it.

hahaha... I'm not worried about it at all bro. audi engines blow up before a gt28's do, everyone knows that.

hehe, just got my GTRS turbo and... i find it really small;) then again i havent seen the k03 in real life yet;-) doing the install this weekend..

Doing GTRS, genesis 430cc, revo + sps 3, Racetec FMIC and neuspeed tip:) *which btw ive been told is an underestimated mod as the stock tip isnt that hardcore*

Good luck with your setup, ill let you know how mine turn out! :)

thats a good set up, but i went a different route. i bought the eliminator turbo which mounts up to stock header. turbo, lines, testpipe, and sp3 controller cost me 1/3 of the ecode kit. granted i still have other parts to buy, (software, injectors etc..) but in the end i think piecing a kit together myself will save money.

it all depends on your cash flow situation. however if you do buy a "complete kit" there will still be other supporting mods you will have to piece together (fmic, exhaust, etc...)
for me, buying used was the way to go. You can pick up a decent gt series bt for around $900. You don't have to get the gt series turbo either, if you want to save some cash, get an older t3/t4 turbo and still make big power!
