Trouble replacing my stock HID bulbs

I'm able to get the housing out, but once I get to the bulb, I have trouble getting it off the connector. It just won't budge. Is there a certain tool or technique that is needed to use to get these things off?

If you are referring to the ignitor, the bulb twists into place so you have to twist the bulb (by the base, don't touch the bulb) to separate it from the ignitor.

Yeah, that's probably what I am talking about. I've tried twisting. I also tried finding this "metal ring" (some one refered me too) to push down, but that hasn't worked either.

So you've twisted the bulb by the base counterclock-wise and it doesn't budge? Try pushing down on the base as you do it. If all else fails, lube it.

I'll try lubing. How simimlar are the to taking out the rear tail light bulbs? Those were real easy.
