    Problems with my A4 :(

Hey Audizine, my A4 hasnt been running well lately. In fact, its stalled 3 times and its automatic transmission! My mods are Apr 91 program, Eurocode Test pipe, and a Forge blow off valve spacer.

I have noticed it stalls when I am in D and if i hit the brakes the car downshifts from whatever gear it is in and when it reaches 1st gear the rpm drops very low and the engine dies.

another problem i have noticed is when i am exceeding speeds of 100mph (on the track) there is a huge turbo lag and this is in D only. from gear 4 to 5 its ok then around the top end of 5 car is goin nowhere. gas pedal is floored and the car is not goin anywhere not even goin 6th cuz it wont lol. The only solution i found was to put it in S.

My advice....Get flashed back to stock, take it to the dealer and tell them that it's not running well...be vague and hopefully they'll figure it out.

I'm not sure about these FSI engines, but there has to be something that controls your idle speed, like on older cars, they're called "idle speed control." It's a valve that controls your air intake for your idle speed. I'm not entirely sure about our engine, but if this valve is the problem then it's an easy fix.

x2, get reflashed back to stock and be very absolutely vague at the dealer.

Oh yeah, that too. Take that spacer off, even before you go to the dealer.

The tp will not void the warranty. The BOV and chip though, could be a problem.

Re: Problems with my A4 :(

I don't know if this will help you but.. I had a manual vw that was chipped and had other things done to it, it started stalling on me while I was driving.. Like on a highway and such or crusing down a hill. It would just stall... If thats the case I would say its the chip. I got another company to re-flash my car and everything ran perfect from then on...

I had the problem with my 01 a4 when I was still under warranty and stock....it would randomly stall every 15minutes...it was a bad ecu (the dealer said), they fixed it and it never happened again...also im no mechanic but maybe the tp is making the car run rich

Re: Problems with my A4 :(

    I had a similar problem with my bone-stock B7...

Turned out to be a faulty fuel pressure sensor. No biggie, fixed under warranty and it runs ok now. The problem now is that the PCV valve is shot. The dealer's solution was to replace the oil cap. Yeah, that sure worked. Now oil is puking out of the valve cover bolt holes.

Have the dealer check it out. They shoud be able to fix it no problem.

Re: Problems with my A4 :(

I agree to get rid of the BOV spacer. I assume this allows your setup to release pressure? Our cars are meant to recirculate it back into the system. You should also look to have it flashed back to stock to see if it will fix any of your issues. I know there is that CH recall right now which would require the dealer to overwrite your ECU. Either schedule service or have it done during your next oil change.

Re: Problems with my A4 :(

are you just using the forge spacer? or is it a forge DV with a spacer? cause if your just using the spacer, there is your issue
