Possible Mods for an 04 A4 with the 3.0 V6

Ok so after looking at the millions of tricked out A4's here and what people have all put in them I was wondering just what is there for v6's? I must mention im not Bill Gates, or Steve Jobbs, I dont have pyramids of cash at my disposal. I dont want to make my a4 ridiculous, its a daily driver car (mainly city, back and forth to school, with the every other day drive on the freeway to work)

Not a whole lot really, mufflers, and then its nothing but aesthetic stuff.

look at it like any other v6 to be modded. intake, headers, catback, underdrive pulley, n2o, solid mounts, hi-flo cat, supercharge ($$$$$), and some other stuff. all the cosmetic stuff you can do to the a4 can be done, but as far as where can you find all that stuff, google it. i'm sure it's made somewhere, just look for it, ya never kno!!

Same issue I have. Love the forum, but all mod threads are for the damn small 1.8 liter toy engines here.
As for the 3.0 there are some low cost mods available, but a chip just gets you 15 HP not worth 600$ in my opinion. If you really like to mod you need to go and strap a turbo, biturbo or supercharger onto the engine. That means $$$. I got the manual what makes it some fun for me. Welcome to the 3.0 club.

agreed... never hurts to upgrade suspension though... i myself am looking into coilovers or sway bars...

Start with Exhaust and Swaybars. Intake may also help a little bit. Then get coilovers and other exterior stuff for looks.

well now that were on this topic.. has anyone notice a difference when they put an intake on the 3.0.. performance would be good but im more concerned with fuel economy!!

if i were not to mod the motor w-sc then my first mod would be the Stasis cntr-diff-chng and stg3 Sbend clutch, rs4 motor-mnts,snub the car will feel like its ready to bounce and just the over all feel of the car will seem more athletic trust me you'll love it

ok, here are the things you can do for performance.
if you want to upgrade your snub and motor mounts, that's fine, but you want to upgrade your tranny mounts as well.
you can wait for the production of the cat-less down pipe which is like a test pipe. and you can buy the 2.8 supersprint headers for the car which is like $1300-1500. the Down pipe and headers will give you power.
then you can go to GIAC dealer and get a chip for little power but better throttle response and no speed governor.
you are not that limited with TIP tranny.

then there are two threads on how you upgrade your Torsen center diff which make the car more rear bias.
or you can simply get on to StaSIS' website and order the stuff there. Center and rear can be upgraded but the rear is hell expensive

building a straight all motor no F/I 3.0(avk block) would be $$$ and the gains not much in return but never the less it would be great to put a blower on that motor, then see how she does
