its just mtms classification of it. mtm calls their stage 3 set up stage 4

Correct, Technically my car is a MTM Stage 4, but its by general audi community standards stage 3

Actually a tree. Why dont you ask MTM why its called stage 4? Thats what it is considered. This car is worth every bit of 12K yet. Try to buy these parts seperate, you'll be at 2.5X!! Plus you get a complete drivetrain and every fricken thing else on the car!!

Yeah but it's done 140k, not to mention around 70k on the K04 kit So it's not exactly a spring chicken..

And what about the stage 3 kit would you consider unreliable with 70k on it?? K04's are strong, its rare that i have seen someone blow one of those.... I dont know, maybe im crazy, but 70k seems just fine...

Your right on skooks. These turbos are far superior to K03's. They are under much less stress and work half as hard to produce twice the power. Plus these miles are ALL highway miles. I can prove it. This car runs better than new!!

its sad how people don't understand that if a car is taken care of, miles are just a number that doesn't mean much... there are cabs out there that get regular maintenace with half a million miles and still going strong... miles for me are just an easy way to fluctuate the market value of a car... sad

High miles don't mean a great deal if the car is well looked after, not saying this S4 isn't, but a turbo car regardless of maintenance in most cases will always need a turbo replacing before anything else, cabs don't have turbo's as far as i know

K04's are more reliable than K03's but still not bomb proof and if i were going to pay top dollar for a written off car, it wouldn't have that many miles on it.

I'm not against high miles, my last turbo car had 130k when i bought it and it's still going strong, just that even with the mods, $12k for a written off S4 with high miles is a bit hard to swallow

well im not trying to justify his price, just getting annoyed with people constantly complaining about mileage on all cars. my old b5 had 140k miles on it when i sold it, and the stock turbo was still going strong. i guess it depends on the motor and the way its taken care of... anyways gl with sale, sounds like a hell of a car

Not so sure this car should be "written off" just yet!! I just don't want to fix it. And I believe "top dollar" for this car would be closer to 20K with these mods.
