    I hope someone can help

I have a 02 b6. In the last few weeks going about 60mph I notice my right driver side wheel vibrate really badly. I thought it was my wheels that needed to get balanced so I went to a tire shop had them balance all 4 of my tires. Driving home on the freeway I noticed the same thing almost as if my wheel is bouncing up and down. This morning i had my girlfriend drive next to me and look at the wheel. She said that it rattles from right to left. I am running out of ideas on what it could be. Has anyone had the same problem? Or know what it might be?

Rattles from left to right? Do you need an alignment?

I think it could be an alignment, but would it really rattle that bad when you need an alignment? and would it only be from one side?

I really think you should have it put on a hoist and get them to check tie rods and ball joints.

Or whatever the Audi equiv is. Once its on the hoist they just need to wiggle the wheel and it should be visible as to what it is

Make sure the contact point between your wheels and your hub assembly is flat and true.

...yeah, they tend to get a little rusted, and you can sometimes have a hard time getting wheels off. Wire brush them down, or sand just a little, then wipe a light layer of WD-40 on them. This stuff is easy to do and if it doesn't work then it didn't cost you anything, but you'll have to dig deeper.
I feel for ya man, good luck.

    Tie rod ends.

Jack that side of the car up and grab that specific wheel at the nine and three o'clock positions, and shake it back and forth (side to side)...there should be ZERO play!!
