I've got a 3.0 quattro B6 with no performance modification and since this car is more of a cruiser for me than it is a thrill car (got my brother's G35 coupe for the midnight thrill rides) I'm just looking to amplify the sound of the exhaust a little bit. Not interested in catbacks or even replacing mufflers alone. I've heard 3.0s with the magnaflow mufflers in person, and although i think they sound great and all, they're a bit too loud for my taste. I would probably get them if my dad wasn't so critical of anything i do to my car.
After searching high flow cats on here, all i was really able to come up with was high flow cats and test pipes for 1.8t models but nothing for the 3.0. I think replacing the stock cat to a high flow cat in my car would give me that sound i'm looking for. The 3.0 already resonate amazingly when you hear them driving away, and i only want to amplify that sound a little.
So has anyone done this? I mean leaving the entire exhaust stock and ONLY replacing the cat on the 3.0? if so, vids would be awesome.
But i'm not sure if there are any companies that even make HFC for the 3.0
Thanks in advance
