    Boost calculation Help

I'm trying to figure out the boost that a buddy of mine is putting out on his new A4. He's spiking @ 1500 milibars, which converts to about 22 psi. Since i'm at altitude, what do I need to subtract again?

Here's the site i used to convert

    Re: Boost calculation Help

Do you or him have Vag Com? If you have Vag Com then just look at the "actual" boost column in block 115 at idle and that number is pretty much what you need to subtract.

For example I am at sea level and vag com says 1010 at idle so if I hit 2500 milibar shown in the colum I would say 2500-1010=1490 aka 1.49Bar which is 21psi.

How are you getting that value of 1500 I didn't know gauges read like that in bar, just thought it would say 1.5?

Yeah I was using my VAG-COM. And my idle actual was 800, so I subtracted that and came up with a little over 10psi, so he's stock

sucks for him every once in a while I put mine back to "stock mode" for a little perspective, well as close to stock as it will be with my GTRS, pretty much just turn the boost down to 10psi and take away all timing advance and I want to kill myself because it's so slow. It is so funny that it will take the same time in stock mode to go through 1 gear as I can go through prettty much 2 gears with it tuned up.
