Where to buy anti-theft hex bolts for my license plate

i have 11-99 foundation license plate frames and it has been stolen 2 times already.. both times were at parking structures.... i want to find some anti-theft hex bolts but when i check autozone or hardware stores.. they only have long ones.. and the audi plates requre shorter bolts..

where can i find some?

Take the long ones to a grinder or belt sander... Or you could put some loctite on so it's harder for them to un-screw. That SUCKS!! assholes!

any respectable hardware store will have security bolts of some kind. my favorite require a pin wrench to put them in, just two little holes in the top of a cap head bolt.

Just watch out with the security bolts. The next time someone tries to steal your plate and can't get it off, they just might mess up something else on your car out of spite. It's happened to me plenty of times.

I've been looking for one for a while now. Can't seem to find one that's not just cheap plastic with carbon fiber vinyl on it. Let me know if you come across one.

They are almost Impossible to find. When I first bought a cf frame I tried having them custom made, ordering them, EVERYTHING... I have yet to find anyone that makes METRIC Safety screws in the size and shape we would need. If someone can prove me wrong, please do.

Just to add with the link i provided above, the CF plate frame has the screw holes covered and there are pins on the side that require 2 hands and a special tool to get the frame off, like it would take a thief at least a good 5 min to get it off if they knew what they were doing. I have had mine on front and back since novermber and not one problem. Let me know if you guys would like pics or anything, i dont have saftey screws on mine either. IMHO, its 100% unnecisary.

So what did you pay to get the 11-99 plate? I hear that it's about 15k to get one.

Also, dude, the security allen bolts can be had at Pep Boys.

I remember when I was younger, people would steal clear corners off my Integra. I was ghetto so I just put superglue in the screwheads... lol! It worked... but it took me a helluva long time to chip it out when I needed to change bulbs!

I don't know about that frame either...it looks ok though.

The Tag Armor frame is a little different style in that it's composed of two pieces which enclose a license plate...as opposed to covering one.
