is it a simple install? i saw some diy but i think it was for the after market one which required cutting of the rear bumper... the the OEM S4 direct swap?

whao the OEM S4 valance is a simple pop in place and make sure u have star keys to put it in. the aftermarket ones u dont ahve to cut the bumper but shave the valance probably. i have to do that to mine

did you have to shave the corners? i'm having a slight fitment problem with the two smaller tabs on each corners. what part exactly did you shave?

What are these star keys your talking about. I did a test run to see what it would be like and took off my rear valence. Pulling it off was easy but putting it back in was a little harder...not sure if I did it the right way of just pounding the hell out of it to get those teethed edges back in. Is there an easier or proper way to do this?

star keys?? valence replacement was like the easiest thing ive done with this car....

The DTM valence is connected to the bumper. Yeah its really easy to do, just pull it out and push it in.

The star keys are torx screws. The rear valence removal is easy, getting the tabs on the sides back on is a little bit of pain though.

To the people having/planning the S4 valence mod: since the A4 exhaust has 2 single pipes, doesn't the S4 valence look weird on an A4? Is a custom exhaust a must in this situation?

get quad tips or creative exhaust... then it wont look weird. I'm assuming no one has single tips w/ an S4 valence.

its not a MUST but like you said the s4 valence will look wierd on the a4. for those of you with a quad exhaust like myself the s4 valence IS a must, or you can also go aftermarket which wouldnt really be as good a choice as the oem s4 valence

You can get my 25TH AE S4 valence... not sure how the smaller tips would look though

The US S4 DTM has the quad tip openings, the 25quattro S4 edition has the larger dual tip openings.
