like i said in my last thread i just bought my s4 a few days ago and its the first real hot day out and i noticed the temp gauge by the fuel gauge is a little further then half way to hot is that about normal temp for these cars? and the temp gauge at the bottom left of the cluster is still on the cool side not even half way to hot. is this normal?? thanks for your help!

The coolant temp gauge (next to the fuel gauge) should point straight up when 100% warmed up. The one on the far left is for oil temp. It should read just a few ticks higher than when cold. Sounds like you're fine.

and don't go into boost until your oil temp is at least 1 tick from the bottom (~175).

if the coolant temp is reading a little tad above middle then you might be sitting in traffic to long an as soon as you start driving ad air starts flowing it will come back down

yeah it was one bar past straight up and i was sitting in the car after driving it from lunch break and noticed that it was a little warm and didnt know if that was normal or not. so from what i gather sounds like its fine but if it continues to run one bar past the straight up position is this something that i should get looked at or possibly check the coolant levels? sorry these may be completely retarded questions but i've always been a honda junkie and decided i needed to step it up a level so i picked this up and am trying to learn more and more about the car like i did with all my hondas

I would try flushing your coolant system. It isn't hard and it couldn't hurt.
