FE or OFE, not a comparison

I have "this" clutch kit in my hand right now, i decided on going FE because of future plans for the car... well, the thing i need to know is, i thought the FE was full faced feramic both sides. i have what i think is OFE, and if this is so my day hasn't started off too good. The clutch disc definately does not have the same material on both sides. if anyone who has also went the FE route could tell me, i would appreciate it. thanks

(theres a longer story about why this situation is even happening in the first place, but i'll spare you guys...)

Re: FE or OFE, not a comparison

I had the OFE and now have the FE as a replacement.

The FE is metal on both sides

The OFE is metal on one side and a different organic material on the other side.

In terms of clutch engagement both clutches have the same amount of 'feel' and engagement point. The FE does grab a lot faster so it does take a bit more practice in order not to stutter when moving from a dead stop.

But when you are moving and want to just pop and drop the clutch at any RPM the FE does grab very, very quickly.

Re: FE or OFE, not a comparison

like winston said, the FE will have the same light silver metal material on both sides of the clutch disc. the OFE SS will have the organic material on one side (dark) and the feramic on the other

the FE is much grabbier, i have it and i am very happy with it even as a daily driver!
