A bunch of questions

1) Please answer my other question about vibrations in d, s , r
2) I am finishing school in June - this means that
a) I will be out of the f*cking New Hampshire Winters and car can now be lowered / pampered / upgraded
b) upgrade it as I've always wanted it.

1st, I am going to have the car repainted (fix all the rock dings etc) and all the dents, dings, damages repaired and then clear bra the thing.

Next, there are screws missing from the belly pan and wheel well liners - you guys think I should replcae those? don't know if its worth the couple hundred dollars

Then I will be replacing my brakes before putting on any new kits, coils etc

Apparently with only 30k on hte color my rotors are wearing thin? (my dad said this) - is this possible? my braking still feels fine ....

if he is mistaken tell me how i can tell if they're fine as he's not very experienced with VAG cars but is an engineer and if he's not mistaken - what's a suitable upgrade.

I'm not looking for a lot of go / performance - car will just be for show and with a KO4 at most

The next upgrades will be CF interior, ecodes, new hood, oetty or caractere kit, and some coilovers and all this will be done over a year as I will be in HK - (finished when I get back so I'm in no real hurry)

HK, nice trip! i would just go with the fishscale trim rather than c/f...if you go with c/f in the end, then i call dibs on the fishscale, if you have it...

Yeah the Carbon Fiber is cool but I think you get stuck going that route on the exterior too... I have the fishscale and get comments all the time on how good it looks.. I like it too :)

On your brake rotors... it may be hard to see/feel with the wheels on... you get groving and or a lip on the outer edge (mine need to be replaced soon too). Also the gap between the calipers and rotor (basically as the pads wear this gets smaller..

You should be able to get the clips and screw for the belly pan and what not for a lot less than $100, check out ECS

My brake pads are definitely wearing thin but I can't see why my rotors are going bad ... but if I do need to replace them - any suggestions?

Ummm, those zeus fasteners are only a couple dollars a piece. So, unless you have a hundred or so missing, it shouldn't be too expensive.

Word - where should I go get them?

I'm torn between completely refinishing my car or just letting it be and getting a new one in a few years when I come back from HK ... heh

(It's an 03 with 30k miles ...) i mean it's barely driven but at this point it'll prolly cost 4-5k to get all this done and the shit's only worth 14-16k?
